Meet Me at the Beach on January 9!

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2012 by mb

VyAyr Fitness offers outdoor workout sessions for women at San Francisco’s beautiful and historic Crissy Field.  Three days a week, five days a week, or one day a week, you choose the day and time (5:00 am, 6:00 am, or 9:30 am) that’s most convenient.  The next session begins on Monday, January 9, 2012. I hope to see you there! — Marybeth

Happy Skincare

Friday, December 30th, 2011 by mb

Marybeth La Motte

Marybeth La Motte

Luckily, I’ve enjoyed life with lots of laughter and emotional experiences, which is sometimes more obvious than I want based on the small wrinkles around my eyes (or less delicately termed: “crow’s feet”).  Skin around the eyes is especially vulnerable because it’s more delicate and tends to age more rapidly than skin on other areas of the body.

Unfortunately, many of the quick-fix treatments are expensive, painful and don’t work for crow’s feet. This holiday season, thanks to Cheryl Pierce at Ageless Beauty Skin Clinic, I tried a Fraxel treatment. Fraxel is different because it treats one fraction of tissue at a time with thousands of microscopic laser columns that stimulate a natural healing process that works from the inside out, expediting the production of collagen and elastin, which results in tighter, fresher, more youthful-looking skin. I’m very happy with the results! Happy Holidays, indeed!

Red Carpet Holiday Ready

Red Carpet Holiday Ready

Red dresses, red lights and red lipstick make pretty holidays!  Red light therapy, my latest red craving, is a new, non-invasive, corrective skin treatment from licensed esthetician Theresa Ferrer of Aesthetique, located on Union Street in San Francisco.  Theresa’s Kinelift Program treatment combines LED red light therapy and microcurrents with microdermabrasion and anti-aging serums.  The results improve facial muscle tone, increase cell renewal, decrease pore size, regulate hydro-lipidic film, stimulate fibroblast cells, increase collagen production and so much more …  Technical details and technology aside, after Thresa’s Kinelift, I am Red Carpet Holiday Ready!

Get a Summer Glow!

Friday, July 8th, 2011 by mb

Marybeth La MotteI just experienced the most rejuvenating skin treatment that I must share!  It was the Anti-Age Spa Facial from Theresa Ferrer at Aesthetique Skin Care. A combination of Microdermabrasion and treatment masques left my skin glowing and healthy. The deep infusion of  skin lighteners followed by antioxidant and anti-wrinkle serum treatments, erased the effects of a lot of my sun damage and fine lines and managed to take years off my face! What better way to start the summer than with fresh and younger looking skin?

Contact Theresa Ferrer at aesthetique.skincare@gmail.com or call her at (415) 385-2522.

Beauty on a Budget

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 by Cori

Spring is in the air, and there’s no better time of year to shake off the cold winter weather and embrace beauty with healthy, radiant skin. Cold winter days can leave skin feeling dull, sunken, and dehydrated. It’s time to give your skin a lift with Epi Center MedSpa’s signature facials and medical treatments to emanate brightness from the inside out.

Recommended Treatment:

PhotoFacialSM

PhotoFacialSM is Epi Center MedSpa’s signature proprietary treatment protocol that is now performed all over the world (developed by Epi Center’s very own Dr. Bitter Sr.), and consists of a series of Intense Pulsed Light treatments that improve the appearance of:

·                       Rosacea

·                       Flushing

·                       Face Veins

·                       Sun damage

·                       Freckles

·                       Age Spots

·                       Skin Texture

The treatment also improves brown or red acne scars, reduces large pores, corrects dark circles around the eyes, and reduces fine lines. If you seek a more even complexion, then PhotoFacialSM is the treatment you want. This exciting treatment involves little or no down time. You can resume normal activities immediately!

How does it work?
An intense light is applied in a series of pulses over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by the abnormally dilated vessels or pigmentation. The heat impairs the vessel or lesion, and the body begins its natural healing process. The lesion will darken before it flakes off or is absorbed by the body. PhotoFacialSM treatment can be given as frequently as every three weeks.
