Gala Benefactor Party Hosts Karl & Holly Peterson

On January 20, 2010, San Francisco Ballet will launch its 2010 repertory season with Silver Celebration, a gala honoring Helgi Tomasson's 25 years of service as artistic director. Lucky are the guests. Gala chair Laurie Sharp, along with San Francisco Ballet's staff, including Mr. Tomasson himself, 15 steering committee chairs and 30 committee members, have been working since May 2009 to make the 2010 opening event extra memorable. On this special night, the dancers -- who have practiced and perfected the art for most of their lives --will perform a selection of works specifically chosen for the occasion. The evening is set to begin at 5:00 pm with cocktails and dinner at City Hall, followed by the opening performance at the War Memorial Opera House, and then back to City Hall for a post-performance party.

Recently, the St. John Boutique, located in the Four Seasons Hotel, San Francisco, hosted a kickoff event for Laurie Sharp's opening gala committee, members of the ballet auxiliary and the dancers. Next up -- parties for ticketholders: Karl and Holly Peterson will welcome Silver Celebration Benefactors to their home for a private reception on January 14, 2010, and Silver Celebration Patrons will be feted at the Museum of Performance and Design on January 13, 2010.
