CHANEL has a loyal following in San Francisco and the company is showing its appreciation by investing in a new flagship store in Union Square. Opened to the public on Friday, November 20, 2009, the 7,900 square foot, three-floor building with custom, hand-plastered walls and Cabuca stone floors was created as a clean palate to showcase the ready-to-wear, fragrance, makeup and skincare lines, the accessories -- including costume jewelry, and handbags -- for which the brand is arguably most known. Entrances to the boutique are on Maiden Lane or Geary Street, and from either side the centerpiece and wow factor, a 25-foot display wall of black metal and glass, is viewable.
