| Red Carpet Bay Area chooses up to five women each year (since 2008) whose style stands out to us as a highly fashionable representation of our region's rich and diverse culture. For 2011, one of our top five is Sonya Molodetskaya. Sonya's style is often unpredictable, she takes chances, and she seems to have a lot of fun! | Do you have any wardrobe challenges? My only wardrobe challenge is that my checkbook is not big enough for everything I want. Please share a fashion don't: Don't show up in public with a poorly dressed man! Do you have any personal rules when pulling together your look? How about for a black-tie event? Yes, I have rules, and I think every woman MUST if she wants to look good. I am not afraid to be different. For black tie events I like to wear gowns from new and up and coming designers, and it seems I get the most compliments when I do. Dress for cocktails? I like to blind people's eyes with color; I prefer vibrant hues and textures. Even when choosing from a "safe" designer's collection such as Oscar de la Renta, I manage to find the brightest pieces. Lunch and shopping? I dress casually, though I add great heels and accessories. I usually shop alone and in the morning; you will see me everywhere from Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue to Zara and H&M. By lunch I am ready to pull fabulous heels and a statement necklace out of my purse and head to The Rotunda at Neiman's for a visit with bartenders Lauren and Thomas. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| How about a fashion tip? I like chunky bracelets mixed with skinny bracelets and a tennis bracelet, anything from Hermes to H&M, all together on one arm. What are your top three beauty products? La Mer cream, day and night; Loreal Voluminous Millions Lashes Mascara is magical for my lashes; Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Cover Makeup, nothing covers freckles or sun spots better. Meet more of Red Carpet Bay Area's Top Women of Style, 2011: Paula Carano, Hasti Kashfia, Yurie Pascarella and Charlotte Shultz. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
