In 1973, Barbara Brown lived with her husband in Aberdeen, South Dakota, and together they started a hotel business called Super 8.   Today, Barbara lives in San Francisco and is no longer in the hotel business.  She spends her time with seven grandchildren, volunteers and fundraises for Alzheimer's research and the Institute for Health and Healing, as well as serving on the Women's Board for California Pacific Medical Center.  In August Barbara is usually in Lake Tahoe with Oscar de la Renta, co-chairing his famous lakeside runway show.

Barbara's Style:

What do you think about when choosing what to wear?  I think about the event first, then the season, my energy and, finally, the weather.  I like to overdress a little.

Who are your current favorite designers?  I like the timeless elegance of CHANEL; for formal attire I wear Oscar de la Renta almost exclusively.

Whose red carpet style do you admire?  Cate Blanchett and Yurie Pascarella

From whose closet would you most like to shop?  My own -- I keep my beautiful dresses for years and wear things in different ways so they become new again.

Three must-have beauty products:  SK-II skincare, Dior Show Mascara and Guerlain Meteorites Powder for a dewy, natural look

Workout or beauty tip:  Visit Dr. Seth Matarasso, seriously.  Other than that, a minimum of eight hours of sleep, long walks and quiet time.

Would you share a fashion "Don't?"  Too much jewelry or over-done hair
