Livia Firth in Karen Caldwell Designs

Tuesday, January 25th, 2011 by mb

Mrs. Colin Firth (Livia) has a green-carpet challenge and is choosing eco-friendly outfits from Karen Caldwell’s collection!  Livia will be photographed for the London Observer wearing a Karen Caldwell yellow top and matching skirt, made from recycled fabric.  Recently, Livia wore a blue dress from Karen Caldwell Designs, made of non-violent peace silk (the silk moth comes out of its cocoon on its own, and then the silk is collected).

Earrings at the Opera

Tuesday, September 15th, 2009 by mb
Earring folklore:  gold cures headaches, emeralds strengthen weak eyes … not sure if either is true, but earrings can be a nice way to fill the space between earlobes and shoulders.  Some of the beauties spotted on guests at San Francisco Opera’s opening gala on September 11, 2009 (photos by Tim Williamson):
